Jerry Burchfield   Professor and Gallery Director   Education MFA - Caifornia State University, Fullerton MA - Caifornia State University, Fullerton BA - Caifornia State University, Fullerton     Jerry Burchfield is an artist, curator, author and educator. Since 1987, he has been a Professor of Photography and the Gallery Director at Cypress College. From 1973 to 1987, Burchfield was the co-owner of BC Space Gallery, a custom photographic lab, studio and pioneering alternative gallery space dedicated to showing contemporary photography. The author of three books on photography, Burchfield has also produced several exhibition catalogues. He has received numerous awards including a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship and was named "Outstanding Individual Artist" by Arts Orange County in 2001.
