An exciting educational experience awaits you in the Cypress College Photography Department. In our program you can develop new skills for personal expression or prepare yourself to meet the challenges of a career in this rewarding field.

Cypress has excellent facilities and is one of the best-equipped photography departments in the state. As a student you are encouraged to use the the digital lab, two shooting studios and extensive color and black and white darkrooms. To complete assignments you may check out a large variety of camera (35mm to 8x10), lighting and digital equipment.

Faculty members are experienced professionals in a variety of photographic specialties and practicing artists who exhibit all across the country and around the world, yet all make teaching a priority. The photography department curates three galleries that exhibit the work of outstanding commercial, fine art photographers and students. Open to the public, these exhibitions stimulate understanding, generate dialogue, and increase participation in photography within the department and the community.
